Trust......

There are those times in life when everything seems to go your way. Life is perfect... However, that time seems to staying clear of me. Have you ever felt that you had a friend who you knew you would still be friends with in 30 years? But then, in some way or other you lost that friend within the space of one day? If you have you probably know that “pain” that I am going through right now. The thing that tends to keep me going is that I know that friend isn’t gone forever. We will see each other again, and even though we won’t be able to talk till then or in the future, I still have that friend. It seems to me that when you get pulled apart from someone, it’s then that you actually get closer.

The thing that I must ask God in moments like this is, “God, what are you teaching me here?” I’ve learned something, I’ve learned something very important. What I have learned is this: I need to make sure that everything I say to each friend I have is God-honoring, comforting, encouraging, and kind. I cannot waste those precious moments with those amazing friends for, I never know if they will be the last. I have often wondered, have I truly touched the friends that I have. Have I been used by God to help them out? Or, have I wasted those moments with them? After loosing that friend of mine I found out that I had touched that person’s life. In a very positive, and Godly way. God has used me in a marvelous to. The thing I think we all must do is ask ourselves, “Are the things we show, and do to people affecting them positively, or negatively?” If you aren’t being the best friend you can to somebody, see what you can do, ask God what He wants of you. He’ll show you the way.

Psa 26:1 Of David. Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering.
Psa 26:2 Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind.
Psa 26:3 For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness.
Psa 26:4 I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites.
Psa 26:5 I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked.
Psa 26:6 I wash my hands in innocence and go around your altar, O LORD,
Psa 26:7 proclaiming thanksgiving aloud, and telling all your wondrous deeds.
Psa 26:8 O LORD, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells.
Psa 26:9 Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men,
Psa 26:10 in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes.
Psa 26:11 But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me.
Psa 26:12 My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless the LORD.
Let this be our prayer, allow God to use you in glorious ways to further His Kingdom. We must trust in our God to use us in mighty ways, and know that no matter what happens, it’s all for a purpose. God knows what He’s doing, when it seems unfair, we must trust....

How come everything you ever write gives me goosebumps? It's like yeah, weird. Justin, that was so beyond perfect to what I needed to hear right now. And, I thank you for that. You're one amazing writer... and, just know that friendships take two people, and like Proverbs 17:17 says, "A friend loves at *all* times". :) I'm praying for you....

Well, if it's giving you goosbumps that's not me Em. :) That's all God. I am pleased to know that even through trials I can be helping someone. I thank God for that.

And yes, a friendship does take two people. Thank you for that reminder. Yet, even when a friendship is with two people, your torn apart seemingly for no reason, that does not matter. God knows what He's doing.

Thank you for reading my post Em,

::nods::...yes, that's so true. Sometimes, in the midst of trials, that's when powerful things often happen...pretty strange, but awesome.

Exactly. God does know what He's doing. And we have to reside in that faith. We often live in a world of anxiousness...and a world filled with people twiddling their thumbs, wondering what's going to happen next. Well, one phrase can sum up the anxiousness. :) He's bigger. And you're right, He does know what He's doing in all of our lives and the friendships we're in the middle of. Can we not have faith enough to trust that?

Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, not to harm you, but to give you hope and a future..."

And, one that I constantly turn to, "For I the Lord do not change...return to Me and I will return to you." - Malachi 3:6

I'll be praying for you Justin, He'll pull you through, em
